"For the development of a Common Communicational Space in
Southern Caucasus"
- Is the joint project of the Research Center “ Region” (Yerevan),
with the Caucasian Institute of Peace, Democracy and Development (Tbilisi),
and the Committee of Protection of Azerbaijani Journalists (RUH, Baku).
It aims to help with the establishment of a more outspoken,
affluent and effective media in the region and to provide
assistance to journalists in getting first-hand information
about the neighboring countries.
This website is a common Internet page for the journalists
and researchers, publishers and media of Armenia, Azerbaijan
and Georgia, through which they will be able to:
1.
use a common Internet database on professional journalistic
organizations in the region. Constantly changing information on
the operation of professional media organizations, as well as
projects realized by those organizations in the three countries
of the region, can be helpful in contacting those offices, and be
valuable for media research and analysis.
2.
can market their articles into the “Regional Internet market of analysis”
Registered journalists on the net might get job opportunities from publishers
and media not only of the Caucasian, but other countries, as well.
3.
can read articles on the “analytical market” purchased by the owner of the
site (the above mentioned partner organizations) and placed in the regional
analytical magazine “Southern Caucasus.” Articles provided by Armenian,
Azerbaijani and Georgian authors reflect the vital issues and events taking
place in the regional countries, they provide conventional opinions and
comments circulating on the analytical circles in the region.
4.
with the help of the owners of the site they can conduct exclusive interviews
with public and political figures from neighboring countries, participate in
their on-line press conferences and publish all that material in their media
outlets.
5.
participate in the perpetual regional on-line forums (discussions) on issues
of mutual interest.
To realize the goals of the project, parallel work is being conducted in
Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
The project is supported by the Eurasia Foundations’ South Caucasus Cooperation
Programm (SCCP)
